两周前，和五条堀孝（ Takashi Gojobori ）教授一起午餐，期间给我建议若干，在此分享给各位有志于科研的人：（ 五条堀孝的简介见文章最后）
"If you want to win Nobel Prize, choose a real problem to solve. Don't choose a project that will last for more than 10 years, since it may be too difficult to solve; and don't work on a project for shorter than 5 years, because those are too easy, and not important enough."
"You need to work very very hard. We are not genius. In order to suceed, you need to think longer than others, and work more than others."
"You can publish paper on two lines. Do ordinary work in your field and publish a paper every 2 years. At the same time, try to solve an important problem. You may spend 10 years to publish a paper on this problem. In this way, you can survive, and you can do the real problem"
"Once I asked Prof. A（我忘名字了），who win the Nobel Prize for the discovery of genetic code, 'when you work on the genetic code, do you work till 2-3 am every night?' 'No, in fact, I work till 4-5 am.every night' So, again, work very very hard."
"Try to be different. First in your lab, then in your department, then in the whole country. Then when people talk about you, they can say,'Oh, this guy are No.1 in that field'"
